A number of our clients find that our maintenance and minor works engineering services provide a one stop pipeline to concern-free maintenance and rectification of the building's 'working parts'.

AEC does not sub-contract but arranges for the right contractor to carry out the appropriate and economic solution at the correct price on your behalf.

Practical Background and Experience

Many of AEC's engineering staff have trade backgrounds and have been involved in the operation and maintenance industries. Examples range from aerospace, explosives manufacture and chemical processing to commercial, retail and health care facilities.

We know what can go wrong, what can put you out of action and what can economically be done in the way of maintenance to prevent or reduce inconvenient or expensive breakdown occurrences. We are used to interpreting occupant complaint reports and identifying their technical sources.

A range of services for the maintenance and operation of properties and facilities are available. Discussion with one of our engineers would be advisable to identify the most suitable use of these for individual facilities.

  • MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES - Detailed periodic work lists are compiled specific to the installation and based on the owner's costing and lifecycle plans.
  • MAINTENANCE MANUALS - Originals are often lost, outdated or simply inadequate.
  • MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS - There are many types used from comprehensive to basic callout. AEC can advise on the most suitable and economic and can provide a technical specification for contractor tender. If required we can obtain competitive quotes from suitable contractors.
  • MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT - A range of services from complete first contact callout and issue management to periodic inspections are available.
  • DIAGNOSIS - Causes are identified and solutions advised and costed. We can arrange rectification through a contractor or can provide technical instruction for others to rectify.
  • TENANT LIAISON - AEC can listen to your tenant to determine their needs and expectations and advise you on feasibility and costing.
